To give hospice support to veterans in their community. These volunteers (veterans) will bring their military training and history to their hospice client. They will be able to offer unique opportunities that support life review and healing. They will be able to share a common language and a cultural bond that opens doors of trust. They may facilitate dissolving the barriers of stoicism and secrecy often found with Veterans and bring them peace. They may also participate in special pinning ceremonies honoring the Veterans sacrifice.
